2017 Six in Studio Call for  Artists

CWAL is excited to announce our Six in Studio call for artists!

We are delighted that this year’s exhibition will be co-curated by artists Linda

Ayala and Dante Rodriguez.  The theme of this year's exhibition is

Social Justice.  The, “opening", will be Friday, March 17th and the closing
will be be Friday, April 21st during West 78th Street Studios' monthly Third

Friday.  The six selected artists will spend the month between those dates working

on their installations and the completed work will be shown at the closing reception.
2-D, 3-D, and installation work is welcome, as are collaborations between the

selected artists.  This has been wildly popular project in the past and CWAL looks

forward to an exhilarating showing in 2017!

Please submit your artist statement along

with jpeg examples of your work for

consideration by Wednesday, March 1, 2017 to

cwartleague@gmail.com.  Submissions relating to the myriad issues

and complexities of Social Justice are encouraged.

Please note that we can only consider applications from

current members who have not shown with us in a two

 - person featured exhibition or Six in Studio in the

past two years or March, 2015.  We have a diverse membership and

wish to offer a broad range of exhibition opportunities to as many artists as

possible.  You need to be a current member of CWAL to

have your work viewed by the curators.

Membership may be purchased or renewed up to and at the time of submission

The Intersection of Process

is an exploration into the possibilities of print.  Zygote Press artists Jerry

Birchfield, Stephanie Kluk, Yana Mikho-Misho,

Anna Tararova, and Rebekah Anne Wilhelm utilize their

abilities to transfer and transform information by merging a variety of printmaking

and photographic techniques.  Cleveland West Art League is proud to present,

"The Intersection of Process".
